The eBook version
An eBook is an electronic file containing the book, which you download and store on your computer. You can print it out on your home printer, or read in on-screen, subject to the license. It's supplied in an Adobe PDF file so you only need the free Adobe Reader software to be able to view or print your eBook - we don't install any of our own software, we don't use digital rights management files but we do have a quite specific license agreement so you don't start printing copies off in your garage and selling them on eBay! When you purchase Life On A Line in this format what you pay for is a license to use the eBook and you will not receive a physical object in the mail (CD or DVD). You will be sent login details to download your PDF file once payment has completed.
The eBook is cheaper (obviously there's no production or shipping costs) and has the same technical content as the paperback, but the graphics have been changed in some aspects to allow for home printing (for example the eBook doesn't use content that extends to the edge of the page, and we've replaced some of the very ink-intensive black photographs). In a handful of places the text has been changed by a word or two as the paperback version has a different paper size, but the factual content remains exactly the same. All eBook purchases use PayPal.
